Hi, I'm Ken Chen.

I am a Service and Experience Designer.

I aim to wield my designer's sword to promote usability and empower business. Through a humanity-centered approach, I have created services and experiences for tech companies, start-ups, governments, local councils, non-profits, charities, social enterprises, schools and universities, music, film and magazine companies, and so on.

I work across creativity, business and technology. I like probing user needs and aligning them with business goals so I can provide solutions that are desirable to users and viable for the business.

To achieve this, I am skilled in user research and analytics, dissecting user needs and pain points. I am also good at prototyping and usability testing, in both digital and physical forms. I thrive in agile, collaborative workspaces, tackling complex problems with creative solutions.

I got training in Interaction Design from 2016-2017. In 2022, I received a BFA with Honors in Design and Technology from Parsons School of Design. At the same time, I obtained a minor in Creative Entrepreneurship. In 2023, I graduated from the Royal College of Art with an MA in Service Design. My education has equipped me with not only essential design skills but also an international perspective.

Besides designing, I am a keen theatregoer, theatre reviewer and amateur actor. I write about theatre and acting in my blog
